A candle is an ignitable wick embedded in wax, or another flammable solid substance such as tallow, that provides light, and in some cases, a fragrance.[1]

Rushlights The pithy center of a type of grass that has been soaked in fuel.
Wax Candles A wick made of plant fibers that have been coated with bee's wax.
Tallow Candles A wick made of plant fibers that have been coated with the rendered fat of sheep or cows.
